Hwy 97 safety improvements open house scheduled for Aug. 21 in Forest Lake
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – The public is invited to provide input on future road improvements along Highway 97 at an open house in Forest Lake.
The open house is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 21 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in the second floor community room at the Forest Lake City Hall, 1408 Lake Street South.
Highway 97 between Highway 61 and Manning Avenue (County Road 15) has undergone several safety enhancements over the last few years and more concepts are being studied. Highway 97 improvements under consideration or soon to be underway include:
- Access Management Study – Access changes between Highway 61 and Manning Avenue
- Goodview Avenue Intersection Study
- 11th Street – construction this summer and fall
- Harrow Avenue intersection – in development
- North Shore Trail intersection – in development
There will be no formal presentation, but open house attendees are encouraged to share their concerns and ideas with project engineers and learn more about the details of each concept and study.
