Public invited to provide feedback on potential improvements to I-494 and Hwy 62
Roseville, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation is asking motorists to provide input on potential improvements to Interstate 494 and Highway 62 between the Minneapolis-Saint Paul (MSP) International Airport and the I-494/Hwy 62 interchanges using an interactive, online public engagement tool.
The online engagement tool is available on the MnDOT project website, http://www.dot.state.mn.us/metro/projects/i494and62study/ through Friday, March 3, 2017.
In 2016, MnDOT conducted extensive community outreach to receive feedback on ways to improve mobility and accessibility on I-494 and Hwy 62 between the Minneapolis-Saint Paul (MSP) International Airport and the I-494/Hwy 62 interchange. The study team used the input to develop suggested improvements along I-494 and Hwy 62 including adding a MnPASS lane on I-494, extending auxiliary lanes, and modifying ramps/interchanges.
The feedback collected will help the department make decisions about the future design and operations of the two roads. Additional information about the study and about the survey results is available on the project website, http://mndot.gov/metro/projects/i494and62study/.
