Detour of South Dekalb Street in Redwood Falls will now begin on Oct. 15

WILLMAR, Minn. – South Dekalb Street in Redwood Falls, Minn., will be closed for two weeks beginning Monday, Oct. 15. Originally scheduled to begin Oct. 8, the start date of the detour has been delayed due to rain. The road will be closed between Highways 19 and 67. Traffic will be routed to US Highway 71 via Highways 19 and 67 during the detour.

The detour is part of the Highways 19 and 71 construction project, which includes the replacement of a traffic signal at Dekalb Street.

For more information on the project visit the project webpage at mndot.gov/d8/projects.

MnDOT urges motorists to always drive with caution, and reminds them to slow down in the work zone and never enter a roadway that has been blocked with barriers or cones.
