MnDOT anticipates closure of Hwy 93 from Hwy 169 to Henderson due to flooding
MANKATO, Minn. — The Minnesota Department of Transportation anticipates closing Hwy 93 from Hwy 169 to Henderson this weekend. Crews are closely monitoring the roadway, as the Minnesota River water levels are forecasted to rise through early next week.
Motorists should plan for a potential closure and seek alternate routes when barricades and signs are put in place. Hwy 19 east of Henderson has been closed since June 23 and will remain closed as the Minnesota River rises again.
Flooding is difficult to predict and roads may be closed or restricted without warning. Log jams can further complicate flood forecasts. MnDOT is closely monitoring rivers throughout the area.
