Hwy 4 north of Sherburn open to single-lane traffic
MANKATO, Minn. — The Minnesota Department of Transportation opened Hwy 4 north of Sherburn to single-lane traffic. The road has been closed since June 23 due to flooding.
MnDOT crews were able to install retaining floodwalls and pump water off the roadway to open it to single-lane traffic. Motorists should anticipate traffic control and a temporary signal system in the area.
Flooding is difficult to predict and roads may be closed or restricted without warning. Log jams can further complicate flood forecasts. MnDOT is closely monitoring rivers throughout the area.
Motorists should check road conditions at www.511mn.org.
