Highway 93 at Le Sueur closed intermittently for railroad bridge work
Traffic detoured to Highway 169
MANKATO, Minn. Motorists are advised that Highway 93 in Le Sueur at the railroad bridge near Main Street and Bridge Street will be closed intermittently as the Union Pacific Railroad works to raise the bottom of the railroad bridge.
The initial daytime closures are set for November 7 and 8 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Highway 93 at the railroad bridge will close, again, on November 13 starting at 9 am and will remain closed until 3:00 pm on November 16 as work to lift the bridge continues.
Motorists will be detoured to Highway 169 and 112 during the brief closures.
The railroad bridge has a history of getting hit by large trucks and equipment. The UP Railroad plans to increase the clearance under the bridge about one foot which should minimize any future damage.
