I-90 Austin ramp reopens after concrete, culvert repairs at Fourth St. N.W.
AUSTIN, Minn. – The westbound Interstate 90 off-ramp at the Fourth Street Northwest interchange (Exit 178A) in Austin has reopened following concrete repairs and culvert replacement, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
MnDOT crews repaired concrete at the end of the off-ramp and replaced an adjacent culvert near a bicycle trail on the north side of I-90. With the culvert work, the bicycle trail has also reopened. It had been closed for safety because of a washout area.
Meanwhile, east of the interchange a separate construction project continues. The bridge at 11th Drive Northwest is under construction. Single-lane traffic in both directions is in effect through this construction zone on I-90.
MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
