Hwy 9 detour near Barnesville begins June 19
DETROIT LAKES, Minn. – Motorists on Highway 9 south of Barnesville will encounter a detour starting Monday, June 19, when crews replace the Deerhorn Creek bridge.
All traffic will be directed to Wilkin County Road 30, Interstate 94 and Highway 34.
The existing Deerhorn Creek bridge was built in the early 1950s and is in need of replacement.
Robert R. Schroeder Construction of Glenwood is the prime contractor for the $900,000 project. Work is expected to be complete by October.
