Hwy 1 resurfacing project public meeting scheduled April 27 in Isabella
DULUTH, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation has scheduled a public meeting on April 27 to discuss a resurfacing project on Highway 1. The project will resurface Highway 1 from the Kawishiwi River to Finland.
Tree removal necessary for culvert replacements will occur this summer between the Kawishiwi River and Isabella. Additional work planned for this summer between the Kawishiwi River and Isabella includes limited areas of rock removal and ditch work.
This work will help improve snow plowing operations and safety. The pavement resurfacing work will occur the summer of 2018.
The meeting will be held Thursday, April 27 at the Isabella Community Center, 9521 Lankinen Road, Isabella, MN 55607. The meeting is scheduled from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
MnDOT staff will present information about the scope of the project, the anticipated construction schedule, traffic impacts, right of way and will be available to answer questions.
